VOC Park – Coimbatore

      V O C park is a zoological garden and amusement park located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The park is named after freedom fighter V O C Chidambaram Pillai and is managed by Coimbatore city Corporation.

• Opened On: 10:30 – 7:30 (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Closed On: Tuesday
• Entry Fee: Rs 9
• Exact Location: 24, Jail Road, ATT Colony, Gopalapuram, ATT Colony, Gopalapuram, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu 641018 ( 20 min walk from gandhipuram).

It’s an Awesome Place to visit. The Pictures below were taken on 18/5/2018. There is a wide variety of birds, deer, snakes, crocodiles, and monkeys to see in the zoo. If you are in or around Coimbatore don’t miss to check it out.

The V.O.C Zoo is quite a small Zoo when compared to other zoo’s. But, if you want to spend time quickly without traveling much from the center of the city, this is a good option! There is a park beside the zoo too. The park also has Architectures, Toy train, and a Jurassic Park.

• Jurassic Park

The replica of many dinosaurs in the Jurassic era can be seen inside here. But unfortunately, it was closed on the day I visited. Do go and see inside the Jurassic Park too.

Well, That’s all about VOC park. It’s a great place for a one time visit if you are in Coimbatore. This park did have a lot of wild animals like tiger and bear back then. But, now they are maintaining the park with a few harmless animals.
